The Stealth Den hard at work on the archway
The Webelos Stealth Den has been hard at work over the past few weeks. We’ve used our weekly den meetings to create a new archway for the Pack to use when we go camping.
We started with a three cedar posts and a slab of oak. Working under the supervision of our Den Leader Dan Cook and Assistant Den Leader Jimmy Pippen, we stripped all the bark off of the posts, we sanded them smooth, and carved them so they would fit together nicely. When we were finished, we put some protective sealant on it so it will last for years to come.

The Stealths present the archway to the Pack
On April 23rd, 2009, we presented the new archway to the Pack during our monthly Pack meeting. We are very pleased with the way it has turned out.
We took it to the Spring 2009 Cub-o-Ree at Montgomery Bell State Park, May 1st – 3rd. It helped us to win First Prize in the Best Camp Site Contest.

All the Webelos have carved their initials into the posts and it’s our hope that future Webelos II will do the same. We’re happy to leave this legacy with Pack 126.
